Magnon, Ence\u2019s renewable energy subsidiary, has shared its industrial experience with students on the summer course \u201cThe energy transition and renewables in Huelva and its province\u201d<\/strong>, organised by the International University of Andalusia (UNIA).<\/p>\n

The company is actively taking part in this initiative as part of its commitment to biomass as a strategic asset in the field of renewable energy, both now and in the future, highlighting the role of its renewable energy complex in Huelva, where 1.5 million tonnes\/year of biogenic CO\u2082 are captured, an essential raw material for the renewable fuels of the future<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Magnon\u2019s involvement has combined training sessions, participatory activities and a visit to its energy complex in Huelva, providing students with a comprehensive view of the energy transition: from identifying new industrial opportunities to their practical application in a renewable generation complex.<\/p>\n

The company\u2019s contribution has been delivered through the participation of Jos\u00e9 Antonio Ag\u00fcera, Magnon\u2019s Director of Operations; Mar\u00eda Jos\u00e9 P\u00e9rez, Business Development and Projects Manager; and Macarena Borl\u00e1n, Operational Transformation Manager. Their contributions connected strategy, technological innovation and industrial operations, showing how an energy company addresses the future from complementary perspectives.<\/p>\n

Biomass as a strategic asset<\/strong><\/p>\n

Jos\u00e9 Antonio Ag\u00fcera, Magnon\u2019s Director of Operations, underlined the strategic role of biomass as a fully manageable renewable source, capable of providing firm and stable energy regardless of weather conditions. At the same time, it helps prevent fires by making use of agricultural and forestry residues and opens the door to the production of the renewable fuels of the future, which are essential to decarbonise sectors such as aviation and maritime transport.<\/p>\n

On this latter point, Mar\u00eda Jos\u00e9 P\u00e9rez noted: \u201cBiomass is the foundation on which the renewable fuels of the future will be developed. At Magnon, we are promoting pioneering projects to capture the biogenic CO\u2082 generated at our plants and transform it into renewable fuels.
