Ence continues to strengthen its commitment to nature conservation through the implementation of specific actions included in its Biodiversity Plan. Among them, the installation of bird nest boxes and the creation of artificial shelters for wildlife stand out. These initiatives are aimed at increasing species diversity and improving the health of the forest ecosystems managed by the company.<\/p>\n

The nest boxes have been designed for different groups of birds, from insectivores such as tits and great tits, to small birds of prey such as little owls or scops owls. With this initiative, the company aims to improve the habitat by increasing the number of available ecological niches, boosting existing bird populations and enhancing biodiversity in its forest areas.<\/p>\n

These structures, made from certified wood and strategically placed, not only facilitate nesting and increase the availability of habitats, but also contribute to the biological control of pests: a single great tit nest can eliminate millions of insects in one season, while birds of prey help reduce rodent populations.<\/p>\n

Wildlife shelters<\/strong><\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the wildlife shelters provide safe spaces for reproduction, resting or hibernation for small mammals, reptiles, amphibians and even bird species of conservation interest. In this way, animal welfare is improved and the conservation of species is reinforced.<\/p>\n
