Ence \u2013 Energ\u00eda y Celulosa has today presented a new call for its Social Plan for Pontevedra, the application period for which will be open from September 2 to October 1, 2024. This Plan, to which the company allocates 3 million euros per edition, is one of the largest social initiatives carried out by a private company in Spain.<\/p>\n

This was explained today by the Territorial Director of Ence in Galicia, Antonio Casal, in a meeting with the media chaired by the Territorial Delegate of the Xunta in Pontevedra, Agust\u00edn Reguera.<\/p>\n

After the great reception that the Plan had in its previous editions, in which a total of 1,117 projects benefited from which 12 million euros were allocated, the company is confident in the success of this new call and in being able to continue actively contributing to improving the quality of life of its residents, to the care of its environment and to the economic growth of the region.<\/p>\n

The beneficiaries of the grants may be natural or legal persons who present projects to be developed within the territorial scope of the municipalities of Pontevedra, Mar\u00edn and Poio. Exceptionally, projects in other areas may be supported, mainly related to forestry and environmental care activities.<\/p>\n

Each applicant must select an area of \u200b\u200baction, taking into account the characteristics of their project. The budgets allocated to each of the areas in this 2024 call are as follows:<\/p>\n

In the latest edition of the Plan, which ends this August, 306 projects benefited from which Ence actively contributed to improving the quality of life in Pontevedra, Poio and Mar\u00edn\u201d. This was highlighted today by Antonio Casal, who stressed that this initiative \u201cdemonstrates Ence’s commitment to Pontevedra and to the communities with which it coexists\u201d.<\/p>\n

The Territorial Delegate of the Xunta in Pontevedra, Agust\u00edn Reguera, pointed out that “the merit of this Social Plan goes beyond the economic investment. I believe that success lies in the commitment to key and local sectors and, within these sectors, to projects that in turn generate a benefit for the rest of society”. He also stressed that “through collaboration and joint effort between the administration and the productive fabric, we will be able to continue growing”.<\/p>\n

As in previous occasions, in this new edition of the Pontevedra Social Plan, applications for aid will be submitted through the website www.plansocialence.es, where the terms and conditions of this call and all the information on previous calls can also be consulted.
