The Andalusian plants of Magnon Green Energy generated enough sustainable energy in 2022 to cover the energy needs of more than 722,000 people, a population equivalent to that of the province of Almer\u00eda. The facilities, located in the provinces of Huelva, C\u00f3rdoba and Ja\u00e9n, produced around 950,000 MWh of renewable energy obtained from biomass last year.<\/p>\n
Magnon, through biomass generation, contributes to the stability of the Spanish electricity system, as well as its decarbonisation. All this, by means of a renewable energy capable of valorizing remains from agroforestry activity.<\/p>\n
This technology also prevents mismanagement of said remains, which often leads to uncontrolled burning or abandonment in natural spaces, thus providing a solution to this environmental problem in the Andalusian fields.<\/p>\n
On the other hand, the Magnon plants in Andalusia represent an important economic engine for the autonomous community, providing sustainable and quality employment. According to data from the Association of Renewable Energy Companies (APPA), the social impact of the activity of the plants rises to 4,500 jobs, mostly for residents of the towns adjacent to the plants.<\/p>\n
In Huelva, Magnon has the most important and advanced biomass generation energy complex in Spain, in which 3 plants are located with a total capacity of 137 MW. Among them is Huelva 50MW, the most important in Spain and one of the main plants in Europe using this technology.
\nOn the other hand, its Lucena plant is located in the province of C\u00f3rdoba, with a total capacity of 27 MW. The Lucena plant stands out for its versatility, given its ability to consume different types of biomass with a wide range of formats and humidity.<\/p>\n
The last of the Andalusian provinces in which Magnon operates is Ja\u00e9n. At its La Loma plant, located in Villanueva del Arzobispo, it has an installed capacity of 16 MW. This plant was the first biomass plant of its kind, being fully specialized in the recovery of olive pomace.<\/p>\n
