The National Court has dismissed the administrative contentious appeal filed by the “Association pola Defensa da R\u00eda de Pontevedra (APDR)” that sought to declare the total expiration of the concession granted to Ence’s biofactory in Pontevedra.<\/p>\n

This court has dismissed all the motives put forward by the APDR against the concession. Among them, the argument that the plant generates harmful effects for the environment.<\/p>\n

Thus, in its ruling, the National Court indicates that an Integrated Environmental Authorization (IAA) is in force and that the appeal of the aforementioned association does not prove that it has been breached.<\/p>\n

This sentence deepens the position that the National Court already expressed when, in December 2018, issued\u00a0 parallel sentence, in relation to an appeal from the Pontevedra City Council that used the same argument as that put forward by the APDR.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, the company is waiting for the National Court to pass judgment on the three appeals raised against the extension of the concession, predictably in the second half of the year.<\/p>\n
