Ence – Energ\u00eda y Celulosa has closed the 2019 fiscal year with a zero wage gap between the men and women that make up its workforce. This registry, calculated according to the methodology of the Club of Excellence in Sustainability in collaboration with the Ministry of Labor, represents a milestone for a company in the industrial sector and is part of the Equality of Ence Objectives for the period 2019-2020.<\/p>\n

Since its launch in December 2018, important steps have already materialized. In this sense, at the end of the 2019 fiscal year, the percentage of women in the Ence workforce has registered an increase of 17%, so that women now represent 22% of the total workforce of the company, compared to 16% which they assumed in 2015.<\/p>\n

For its part, the percentage of women rises above 74% in the case of hiring workers with university degrees of 30 years or less.<\/p>\n

The company’s equality policy is embodied in concrete initiatives, which involve applying measures that avoid biases in the promotion processes or ensure equal representation of women in development programs. It is sought that at least 20% of new hires in biofactories are women, as well as 50% in managers and individual contract staff.<\/p>\n

It also includes conciliation measures to promote the balance between personal and professional life.<\/p>\n

In addition, to ensure compliance with these Equality Objectives, the company has launched the creation of a Technical Equality Commission at the level of the entire Ence Group.
\nAll this is part of the Sustainability Master Plan of the company, one of whose pillars focuses on the “People and Values”. This plan materializes the company’s commitment to sustainability, which, in fact, is one of the fundamental objectives of its 2019-2023 Strategic Plan.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
