The Board of Directors of Ence Energía y Celulosa has appointed Reyes Cerezo as General Director of Sustainability of the company. She will make this position compatible with his current responsibilities as General Secretary of Ence and Deputy Secretary of the Board of Directors, in order to reinforce the development and monitoring of Sustainability policies from the company’s first governing body.
Excellence in Sustainability is one of the axes of the Ence Strategic Plan 2019-23. This appointment reinforces the company’s response to the ambitious objectives set out in its Sustainability Master Plan, which covers all its businesses and corporate areas.
In this sense, Ence seeks to permanently guarantee the social license to operate, as well as the sustainability of its supply chain, and especially its forestry activity. In addition, the company will continue advancing in the development of sustainable products that contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, as well as the Circular Economy, favoring, as well, investment from the financing boost with ASG criteria.
Reyes Cerezo joined Ence Energía y Celulosa in July 2017 as Director of the company’s General Secretariat. Previously, she held various responsibilities in the legal field at Banco de Santander, where she was Deputy General Director of the Legal Department, and at the Atento Group, where she was General Secretary and of the Board of Directors.
