The project
Mount Santarandel is located in the upper basin of the River Tambre, in the Ordes peneplain. Apart from the plantation area, the forest has different autochthonous plant units, whose protection has been a priority management objective. The certification of the protection area under the FSC® Ecosystem Services standard (Biodiversity Conservation), values the result of the management carried out and implies the company's commitment to maintain and enhance its natural development.
Management
The management to be carried out in the area consists of, within the margins established by legislation for protected spaces and species, guaranteeing the correct development and natural evolution of the area, avoiding situations of risk derived from health aspects, invasive vegetation or human pressure.
