More than five thousand people benefit from the Collaboration Agreement between Ence and San Juan del Puerto

Almost 5,300 people from twenty-one different groups in San Juan del Puerto are the direct beneficiaries of the Collaboration Agreement signed between Ence and the City of San Juan, an agreement endowed with 100,000 euros to promote social, cultural and sports initiatives that contribute to employment, to environmental improvement and quality and improvement of the living conditions of the inhabitants of San Juan del Puerto.

In the afternoon of yesterday an event was held in which the representatives of all the beneficiary groups signed the collaboration agreements with which the commitment acquired by Ence with the neighboring town materializes under the framework agreement reached with the session this year. .

The mayor of San Juan, Rocío Cárdenas, highlighted “the wide variety of projects that have been presented and have benefited, since this allows for the promotion and consolidation of very important and necessary initiatives for citizens, covering a wide spectrum of their needs social, sports and cultural ”.

For Francisco Rubiño, director of Ence in Huelva, “these grants are the way to make tangible the commitment to the socioeconomic development and environmental improvement of San Juan that we have always maintained with our nearest town”. That commitment is, Rubiño added, “a fundamental axis of Ence’s Corporate Social Responsibility”.

The amount of aid and projects benefited have been selected by the monitoring commission, formed by Ence and the City Council of San Juan del Puerto, among all the initiatives presented according to the criteria previously published.

Thus, the agreement between Ence and San Juan del Puerto will serve, for example, to finance the purchase of pedal boats bound for the sports area of the town’s dock; also to support the acquisition of a vehicle for the municipal Civil Protection group; and to put into production an ecological olive grove, among other initiatives whose benefits will be enjoyed by all the inhabitants.

Because of its uniqueness, other social projects stand out, aimed at strengthening equality – such as that of the Housewives Association, whose objective is to strengthen the role of women in society – or the personal growth and emotional intelligence of users -like the one of the Art and Share Association, which will use dramatic art as personal therapy.

Another of the benefited groups is the El Buitrón Youth Association, which will use the aid to recover popular activities in the natural environment of San Juan, from which all citizens will also benefit.

The implementation of a school garden, support for social projects for vulnerable groups and the improvement of sports and school facilities are other initiatives that have benefited from Ence, in addition to those aimed at financing sports, on all children and youth, of the sports clubs of this town of Huelva.
