Magnon promotes the design and construction of the electric motorcycle with which the UHU will participate in Moto Student

Magnon Green Energy is one of the brands that sponsors the team from the Higher Technical School of Engineering (ETSI) of the University of Huelva, in charge of designing and building an electric motorcycle to participate in the prestigious Moto Student competition.

This is the largest international motorcycle competition, in which more than seventy universities from around the world compete with motorcycle prototypes designed and built entirely by students. In this seventh edition, Magnon, the renewable energy company with three production plants based on biomass in Huelva, will support the team from Huelva, made up mostly of women and in charge of taking an electric motorcycle to the circuits.

With initiatives such as this Magnon electric motorcycle, aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals, it wants to deepen its commitment to energy transition and decarbonisation.

With the support of Magnon and other relevant companies and institutions in Huelva, the University hopes to repeat the successful participation of previous years in which the team from Huelva stood out as one of the leading players in the competition, always finishing in positions of Headboard.

For Magnon Green Energy, it is ‘a project that combines important factors that guide the work of our company every day: innovation, sustainability, gender equality and teamwork. It is also a commitment that reaffirms our commitment to the necessary development of renewable energy and its essential application to all areas of our lives.

For his part, the Vice-Rector for Coordination and Agenda 2030 of the University of Huelva, Juan Antonio Márquez, thanked Magnon ‘for his involvement in this exciting project, which has been chosen by the Huelva Information newspaper as project of the year 2022 in the field educational’, for its repercussions on the practices of future engineers and economists.
