Magnon obtains the Circular Economy Strategy certification awarded by AENOR

Magnon Green Energy, a subsidiary of Ence specialising in renewable energy, has achieved the Circular Economy Strategy certification developed by AENOR. This recognition highlights the company’s Circular Strategy, approved in 2024 and aligned with the Ence Group’s Sustainability Master Plan (2024/2028), based on four axes: renewable and eco-efficient production, sustainable and responsible consumption, waste management oriented towards circularity, and knowledge, cooperation, training and circular employment.
In accordance with its Circularity Strategy, Magnon promotes the use of renewable resources, while minimising the use of fossil fuels and incorporating secondary raw materials that pursue excellence in terms of the environment and safety.
The Ence subsidiary also favours sustainable and responsible consumption, which ranges from the raw materials used to the resources needed to carry out the production process, prioritising energy from renewable sources. In addition, the company manages water resources efficiently and is committed to minimising waste generation and directing waste management towards reuse and recycling, as well as involving society as a whole in the change from a linear to a circular economy model.

Contribution to the circular economy

Magnon, in the development of its biomass energy generation activity, manages agroforestry waste, which prevents possible uncontrolled burning resulting from its abandonment in natural spaces while reducing the risk of forest fires by up to 70 percent.
Added to this is the implementation of circular measures that also impact on the reduction of the carbon footprint. This is the case of the use of ashes and slags resulting from the combustion of biomass in the manufacture of cements and mortars, improving their technical properties.
