At the end of 2016, Magnon Green Energy, Ence’s renewable energy business acquired Endesa’s stake in the Enemansa biomass power generation plant in Ciudad Real. The plant, which mainly uses “orujillo” -biomass derived from olive treatment for oil extraction-, very abundant in the surroundings of the facilities, has a 16 MW capacity and reached a net production of 105 GWh in 2018.

Enemansa plant, together with that of La Loma, in Jaén, began commercial operations in 2003 and has advanced systems to minimize emissions, so that it is perfectly adapted to Ence’s commitment to guarantee sustainability at all times, and respect for the environment in biomass utilization.
