Magnon Green Energy, renewable energy subsidiary of the Ence Group, together with the San Juan del Puerto City Council, opens the application period for its annual call for aid next Friday, thus marking the seventh year of a fruitful collaboration agreement that has Since its inception, it has already channeled more than 600,000 euros for local development. This year, the annual fund of 100,000 euros is once again used to finance projects that promote the socioeconomic, cultural and environmental development of the municipality.
The project submission period opens at 0:00 a.m. on June 14, and will extend until 11:59 p.m. on July 19, 2024. During that period, both local entities and individuals can present initiatives that seek to improve the quality of life in the community in any of the areas of action contemplated. The detailed bases for participating can be consulted on the website of the San Juan del Puerto City Council, and the proposals can be delivered both in person and electronically through the virtual office of the San Juan town hall.
In these years of collaboration, Magnon’s grants have promoted a great diversity of projects, from initiatives to reduce the digital divide and improve education, to programs that promote health and social well-being, as well as efforts to preserve cultural heritage and natural of the municipality. “These projects reflect Magnon’s commitment to San Juan del Puerto, and also underline our goal of being catalysts for sustainable progress in the communities where we operate,” explains Carlos Retortillo, Director of Operations at Magnon Green Energy.
The impact of these collaborations is notable, since the entire population of San Juan del Puerto has directly benefited from this aid through the more than 120 initiatives financed since the beginning of this agreement. “It is gratifying to see how every year new projects provide innovative and practical solutions to the challenges of our community,” says Rocío Cárdenas, mayor of San Juan del Puerto.
