Magnon grants aid worth 100,000 euros to twenty-one social initiatives in San Juan del Puerto

Magnon Green Energy and the City Council of San Juan del Puerto have selected 21 local initiatives to be beneficiaries of the 100,000 euros of aid with which the energy company provides the collaboration agreement that both entities have maintained since 2018. All the projects have a positive impact in the socioeconomic, environmental and cultural development of this town in Huelva, which is the main objective of Magnon’s Sustainability policy in the surroundings of its operations.

Representatives of all the beneficiary groups in 2022 have gathered at a public event in the San Juan city hall to sign the individual agreements with the energy company that allows them to start up their projects.

This year, the aid granted will allow, among other benefits, to continue advancing in the improvement of areas as important as educational quality, the reduction of the digital divide, innovation or better assistance to the most vulnerable groups. In addition, the aid once again decisively supports the solid associative fabric of this Huelva town that promotes healthy lifestyle habits such as sport in almost all its forms.

According to Diego Lamela, head of the Magnon plant in Huelva, “this aid helps us not only to fulfill the commitment made to the sustainability of our activities, but also to better understand the enormous associative concern that San Juan del Puerto has. and to be part of the momentum and wealth that the supported projects will leave in the neighboring town”.

The first deputy mayor of San Juan del Puerto, Miguel Beltrán, thanked Magnon for his collaboration and commitment and stressed that “every year our groups have the opportunity to receive this aid that strengthens our associative fabric, to which we thank the effort they do to give the best of themselves and non-profit”.

The collaboration framework agreement that Magnon has maintained with San Juan del Puerto for five years, promotes specific agreements that result in the promotion and creation of employment, the improvement of the employability of people, as well as the social and environmental improvement of the location. It is a confirmation of the company’s firm commitment to the groups in the environment of its activities, where sustainability and social responsibility are fundamental pillars of its management.
