Magnon Green Energy and its parent company, the Ence Group, maintain their commitment to local traditions and continue the historic donation of eucalyptus wood to the City Council of San Juan del Puerto for the palisades of its patron saint festivities in honor of San Juan Bautista.
This year’s donation, valued again at more than six thousand euros, has been managed by Ence’s South Heritage management, while Magnon has been in charge of financing the felling and processing of the wood. Forestry technicians from the company and City Hall officials coordinated to select the most suitable trees and supervise the preparation of the trunks.
This initiative underlines Ence and Magnon’s commitment to neighboring communities and their traditions. In the words of Carlos Retortillo, Director of Operations at Magnon: “our collaboration with the San Juan del Puerto festivities is another reflection of our commitment to sustainability and support for the needs and demands of our neighboring communities.”
For her part, Rocío Cárdenas, mayor of San Juan del Puerto, highlighted the importance of this collaboration: “eucalyptus wood is not only an essential resource for our palisades, but also a testimony of the constant support of Ence and Magnon to our traditions . . “Your contribution is key for our festivities to take place successfully and safely, respecting the tradition of yesteryear with the same type of palisades to beautify the streets.”
From last June 17 until next June 24, San Juan del Puerto welcomes thousands of visitors from all over the province who join its citizens to enjoy a tradition that dates back to the 17th century. Magnon Green Energy’s participation in these festivities reflects its commitment to sustainable development and support of local customs, strengthening ties with the community.
