José Antonio Agüera,new manager of Magnon’s Huelva industrial complex

José Antonio Agüera has been appointed as the new manager of Magnon Green Energy’s industrial complex in Huelva. With a degree in Chemistry with a specialisation in Industrial Chemistry, he brings a broad and solid background in the management of industrial plants, especially in the refining, chemical and energy sectors.

Throughout his career, he has led important initiatives in the fields of production, operations, planning, programming and logistics. He has held positions of responsibility at the head of important industrial complexes, such as the San Roque and La Rábida refineries, demonstrating strong leadership and comprehensive management skills.

Agüera, who also holds a Master MBA from the Business Development Institute, stands out for his in-depth knowledge of operational excellence, especially in terms of reliability, industrial safety and team performance. His strategic vision and experience in demanding environments reinforce Magnon’s commitment to continuous improvement and operational efficiency.

Biomass: renewable energy with high potential

Magnon Green Energy, the Ence Group’s renewable energy subsidiary, is the leading company in Spain in the production of renewable energy from forest and agricultural biomass. The company has an installed capacity of 266 MW, distributed in eight independent generation plants: three in Huelva, two in the province of Ciudad Real, and one each in Cordoba, Jaen and Merida. All of them are powered exclusively by agroforestry biomass.

Magnon’s annual renewable energy production is around 1,500 GWh, which is equivalent to covering the electricity consumption of more than 400,000 homes per year. This form of generation is emerging as one of the most efficient in economic terms, thanks to its contribution to rural employment, the sustainable development of the natural environment and the improvement of the environment.
