More than 150 projects have applied for the new Ence Pontevedra Social Plan, launched on September 2. This participation figure highlights the success of this social initiative focused on the municipalities of Pontevedra, Marín and Poio.
The Plan, to which Ence allocates three million euros each year, is one of the largest social initiatives carried out by a private company in Spain. It represents an important contribution to the social integration and quality of life of the inhabitants of Pontevedra and its region, through the development of actions to promote education and care for the environment.
Ence’s Social Plan in Pontevedra has helped to promote a total of 1,117 projects that include actions capable of detecting fires prematurely through the use of gas sensors; sustainable mobility initiatives, through E-kletta’s “eco-routes”; projects such as the Ría de Pontevedra Accelerator to promote entrepreneurship and innovation towards sustainable business models; reforestation and carbon fixation initiatives by Probosque or actions focused on groups with different abilities.
