Ence’s Social Plan in Pontevedra will support 240 new projects in its 2025 edition

  • Over the years, Ence’s Social Plan in Pontevedra has benefited nearly 1,700 projects.
  • The promotion of sport, both at grassroots and elite level, has been one of the categories with the highest number of applications, with more than 70 selected initiatives.

The Monitoring Committee of the Environmental Agreement, made up of the Xunta de Galicia and Ence, has completed the evaluation process for the applications submitted to the 2025 edition of Ence Pontevedra’s Social Plan. In this call, a total of 240 projects will receive support from the initiative, whose aim is to foster social, cultural, sporting and environmental development in the province of Pontevedra and its surrounding areas.

Key areas of action

The projects supported in this edition cover a wide range of areas. The promotion of sport, both at grassroots and elite level, has been one of the categories with the largest number of applications, with a total of 72 initiatives selected. This is followed by projects dedicated to the restoration and care of the natural environment, with 56 approved, and initiatives focused on education and culture, with 49 beneficiaries. Social inclusion has also been a relevant area, with 40 selected projects, while entrepreneurship and innovation account for 23 supported initiatives.

Nearly 1,700 projects supported

Over the years, Ence’s Social Plan in Pontevedra has supported nearly 1,700 projects, thereby helping to improve the quality of life of citizens and the conditions of many groups at risk of exclusion in Pontevedra and the surrounding area.
