Ence Terra reaffirms its commitment to sustainable development in the forestry sector with its participation in the 9th Spanish Forestry Congress held in Gijón

Ence Terra reaffirms its commitment to the sustainable development of the forestry sector as a whole and to the Asturian region with its participation in the 9th Spanish Forestry Congress, which is being held in Gijón from 16 to 20 June and of which it is an official sponsor. This event, considered the main forum for the forestry sector in Spain, brings together professionals, researchers and organisations to discuss the present and future of the forest and its role in the bioeconomy.

During the congress, Ence Terra will have its own stand from which it will share its main initiatives in forest management, innovation and sustainability. In addition, the company has promoted the creation of the ‘Ocalitu’ category, which recognises the importance of eucalyptus in the bioeconomy.

Ence Terra will participate in the scientific programme with the presentation of oral communications and technical posters by members of its team and collaborators. These presentations will focus on aspects such as the application of new technologies to forest management, circular economy strategies for the nutritional improvement of forest crops, and prevention and safety in the forestry sector, among other topics.

In addition, around thirty professionals and experts participating in the conference will visit the Ence Navia biofactory and the company’s nursery facilities in the same town.

With this participation, Ence Terra reaffirms its commitment to research, innovation and sustainability as fundamental pillars for the development of the forestry sector. The company thus positions itself at the centre of the debate on the future of the forest, with the firm intention of continuing to contribute to a more sustainable economic model.
