- The company has made progress in promoting innovative forestry practices that optimise natural resources and improve the efficiency of the value chain.
- Ence Terra has provided, in the last twelve months, almost 2,500 hours of service with its replacement machinery system.
Ence Terra, the Ence initiative that brings together the company’s forestry activity, celebrated its first anniversary by bringing together the forestry sector and taking stock of the actions developed over the past twelve months. Specifically, the company has held two workshops in Asturias and Galicia, which have addressed, among other things, the upcoming challenges of the forestry sector.
Over the past twelve months, Ence Terra has made more than a thousand free and personalized advice to forest owners in their own forests in the northwest of the peninsula. It has also edited and published the first manual for forest heirs, a reference guide for plantation management, especially for those who find themselves in forest management without prior knowledge.
Improving the sustainability of forest plantations
Ence Terra, which provides forest owners with the extensive experience of its technical team, has laid the foundations for a 360º relationship with the forest owner during this period, i.e. support throughout the entire production cycle.
Thus, and through close collaboration, the company has developed a series of value proposals, such as the offer of improved plants, forestry advice and the promotion of groupings, to contribute to improving the productivity and sustainability of forestry plantations. The aim is that forest owners have all the knowledge and tools they need to carry out a sustainable and efficient production of their eucalyptus plantations.
In the area of collaborating companies, the company has worked to promote their development and competitiveness, favouring access to resources, tools, machinery and training. Along these lines, in addition to the replacement machinery service, the company has recently set up a training centre for chainsaw operators, which will reinforce the safety of all those working in the forestry sector.
