Ence Energía y Celulosa has renewed the certification of the Criminal Compliance Management System in accordance with the UNE 19601:2017 standard of the Spanish Association for Standardization and Certification (AENOR), within the framework of its commitment to the best corporate governance practices, responsibility and transparency.
This certificate, of a voluntary nature and based on the UNE 19601 standard (standard that establishes the requirements to implement, maintain and continuously improve the criminal compliance management system in organizations), accredits an efficient management system to prevent the commission of crimes and reduce criminal risk by preventing, detecting and managing conduct that is not in accordance with the company’s standards.
The AENOR audit team wanted to highlight the rigorous monitoring of the Crime Prevention Model by Ence’s Compliance Committee, as well as the effectiveness of the new SAP ARIBA tool, an online platform that allows all the processes of the value chain to be managed purchases, which consistently reinforces due diligence with suppliers.
In addition, Ence has a Code of Conduct, approved by the Board of Directors that includes the ethical pillars of the company’s culture, thus consolidating its position as a socially responsible company and working for full compliance with good governance requirements. of the CNMV.
