Ence provides aid from its Pontevedra Social Plan for projects that combat social exclusion

Ence Pontevedra has celebrated today the act of delivery of the aid to the projects to combat social exclusion that have been selected in the call for the company’s Social Plan in Pontevedra. Representatives of the 43 awarded projects have attended the facilities of the Lourizán biofactory, where the act of signing the agreement for the award of aid has taken place, which will allow the immediate start-up of the projects.

In this way the company shows its commitment in the fight against social exclusion. The Plan’s support for these programs makes an important contribution to alleviating the effects of poverty, illness, disability and other severe causes of social exclusion in Pontevedra and its region. In this way, the company seeks to improve the living conditions of its neighbors, with a special focus on those who are in situations of greater vulnerability.

For the analysis and selection of all the projects delivered, Ence has relied on an external consultant, which has carried out a complete and detailed assessment of all the projects.

The 43 projects selected within the category of fight against social exclusion range from entities that work to improve the quality of life of people affected by a disease and their care, to initiatives that promote the social integration of those affected by alcoholism and drug addiction, including support for food banks and care associations for those most in need.

The Juan XXIII Association, Persoas Xordas of Pontevedra, and the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC) of Marín, are three of the winning organizations that fight for the inclusion and normalization of patients.

Likewise, the Association of Families and Patients with Alzheimer’s, Provincial Food Bank Foundation, or the Deficit Association, Attention Hyperactivity Pontevedra, are other entities whose projects have been beneficiaries.
The Ence Pontevedra Social Plan thus demonstrates the company’s commitment to its environment, which is also evident through the air and water of the Ría de Pontevedra, whose high quality shows how the activity of the Ence biofactory, respectful and careful with the environment, it is fully compatible with sustainability.
