Ence – Energía y Celulosa collaborates with a Forma-t course to train new forest machinists for processors and forwarders, in their desire to develop and professionalize the sector, as well as to continue improving safety at work. The company foresees that part of the students, once the course is finished, will start working in leading companies in the forestry sector, such as forestry companies and maderistas, contributing to their growth.
The course will be taught by the training company Grupo Forma-t in Villalba (Lugo), starting next June 1, with a duration of two months and in face-to-face mode.
This free course has the objective of responding to the high demand of forest harvester and forwarder machinists, a profession on the rise and currently lacking in professionals.
During the course, students will learn the theoretical foundations for the handling of machinery and its maintenance, and will carry out practices both in a state-of-the-art simulator and in professional machines. In addition, they will have access to an occupational risk prevention course through which they will obtain a certificate in PRL, which will help instruct professionals with knowledge of safety.
This initiative is aimed at any employed or unemployed person interested in starting to work as a forest machinist, without previous experience in processors and forwarders, with the opportunity to join leading companies in the sector at the end of the training.
