The renewable energy company Ence, the Huelva-based consulting and training company in occupational health and safety HSO, and the municipalities of San Juan del Puerto and Huelva have signed an agreement this morning to improve the employability of people and facilitate their access to work to the solid industrial sector of Huelva. The alliance will also serve to promote the essential preventive culture against occupational hazards.
The objective is to establish various support measures for unemployed people in both municipalities in a context as complex as the current one, in the midst of the serious health and economic situation caused by Covid-19.
Among the measures contemplated in the agreement, the offer of free training to job seekers registered in the municipal registers of the two signatory municipalities stands out. Specifically, the HSO company will offer safety courses on specific risks in Ence’s industrial complexes, as well as theoretical-practical courses on risks in confined spaces, work at height, forklifts and the 50-hour basic safety course to be able to work as a preventive resource.
Likewise, both companies agree to promote an annual conference, in collaboration with the University of Huelva and other companies in the Huelva industrial sector. Its objective will be to sensitize future professionals about the importance of Occupational Health and Safety, and create meeting spaces between companies and students so that they learn about the most important skills that improve their employability and facilitate access to a job in the industrial environment, one of the most important sectors of the Huelva economy.
For their part, the two municipalities undertake to promote information about this opportunity among the most appropriate profiles in their municipal registries. The fundamental requirements to access the courses offered are: be registered or registered unemployed, and be registered or registered in the municipalities of Huelva or San Juan del Puerto. Each person will be able to access the training one by one, and will have the option of taking more training after proving that they have successfully passed the previous ones.
For Ence, this agreement follows up on the commitment to closeness and cooperation with the environment in which it operates, within its Sustainability policy. A strategic priority of the company that focuses on the promotion of local employment and the economic revitalization of the social groups of the communities in which it operates.
