Ence Navia is internationally recognised with the Quality Innovation Award for its commitment to environmental management.

Ence’s biofactory in Navia has been awarded the ‘Prize’ in the international phase of the prestigious Quality Innovation Award (QIA) 2024, in which the company was the Spanish representative in the category of large companies. The award, created in 2007 by Excellence Finland to promote the development of product, process and organisational innovations, represents international support for the company’s commitment to environmental management and the reinforcement of its excellence through continuous improvement.

This recognition has been awarded to Ence’s Asturian biofactory for the project focused on the integration of its continuous improvement model in environmental management, which had already won first prize in the national phase.

The project submitted by Ence Navia was highly valued for its significant results in terms of efficiency, sustainability and competitiveness, which are some of the important advances achieved by the biofactory thanks to the implementation of the Total Quality Management (TQM) management model.

The implementation of the culture of continuous improvement in all its critical processes has contributed to the active involvement of all its collaborators to ensure quality at every stage. In this way, in the environmental sphere, through the Fundamental Improvement Objectives (FMO) and the SDCA (Standarize – Do – Check -Act) and PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) methodology, it ensures exhaustive control of all its environmental vectors, in line with the strictest international standards.
