Sustainability is a strategic priority for Ence. For this reason, the company is committed to improving the efficiency of its Pontevedra biofactory facilities through the “Installation of an Intelligent Blowing System” project, which will analyze the operating situation in the entire boiler and control the cleanliness of the heating surfaces automatically, which will achieve an energy saving of 192,80 toe / year.
This initiative will consist of incorporating a computer system of intelligent management of the blowing process for the Recovery Boiler, a work that is included within the line of energy saving and efficiency aids in SMEs and Large Companies in the Industrial sector, co-financed by the fund European Regional Development (ERDF) and managed by the IDAE under the national energy efficiency fund. The aid granted amounts to € 99,000.00, and with it the IDAE seeks to achieve a cleaner and more sustainable economy, under the slogan “A way of making Europe”.
