The renewable energy complex of Ence in Huelva has renewed the European voluntary certificate EMAS, a community regulation of eco-management and eco-audit that aims to promote continuous improvements in the environmental performance of organizations.
In particular, the EMAS system (Eco-Management and Audit Scheme) is a voluntary regulation of the European Union that recognizes those organizations that have implemented an environmental management system and have acquired a commitment to continuous improvement, which is verified through independent audits.
The renewal of this prestigious recognition of environmental management involves the external verification of the data published in 2018 in the Ence Annual Environmental Statement in Huelva, which summarizes the main data of its environmental performance.
Thus, the results of this audit corroborate the effectiveness of the integrated management system of quality and the environment for the continuous improvement of the process and the working methods of the company.
Ence- Huelva was the second Andalusian company to voluntarily join the select European club of companies that annually submit to external verification of their data and commits to the publication and public availability of them.
The Huelva energy complex has the Quality certification according to the international standard ISO 9001 since 1994, the Environment standard according to ISO 14001 since 1998 and, since 1999, voluntarily adheres to the aforementioned EMAS system.
