Ence Pontevedra today held the award ceremony for the grants for the Education and Culture projects that have been selected in the call for the latest edition of the company’s Social Plan in Pontevedra. Representatives of the 29 awarded projects have gone to the biofactory, where the signing of the agreement for the award of aid has taken place, which will allow the immediate start-up of the projects.
Ence supports education and culture through initiatives of different beneficiary entities of the Pontevedra, Poio and Marín Councils, such as the Federation for the Equality of Mulleres of the Province of Pontevedra, the Association of Ballet Dancers of Marín and the Sociedad de Ciencias de Galicia, among others.
This area of action includes a wide diversity of projects that allows supporting the educational and cultural legacy of the region, betting on the values that Ence promotes, as part of its commitment to Galicia.
The 29 projects selected in the Education and Culture category range from entities that work to maintain traditional Galician culture, to initiatives that promote environmental education for children, such as the “School Garden” of the Colegio Sagrado Corazón de Jesus.
Thus, the “Airiños de San Xulian” Folk Association, the “Centro Cultural Ateneo Corredoira” and the “Asociación TREGHA” are other of the winning organizations that, in this case, promote Galician traditions through dance and music.
Thanks to the Social Plan, Ence is promoting with the utmost enthusiasm an initiative that will contribute to improving the quality of life of the citizens of Pontevedra and its region, promoting the educational and cultural wealth essential for the advancement and well-being of the population.
