Ence expands family reconciliation measures during the COVID-19 crisis

Ence’s bio-factories and renewable energy plants continue to operate, more necessary than ever at the moment, since hygienic and sanitary products are manufactured from the cellulose pulp they produce, as well as electrical energy for the supply of spanish homes

In this context, and aware of the reality that its workers are going through, the company has implemented a series of measures to facilitate the reconciliation of work and family of its employees during the exceptional situation they are experiencing.

Ence’s priority is people, its human team and that of the auxiliary companies with which it works, as well as their respective families. For this reason, more than two months ago, the company made the decision to establish teleworking among all employees who could carry out their daily tasks from home, minimizing the number of people in the workplace.

After the closure of the schools approved by the authorities, Ence made available to all its workers with children under the age of 12 the possibility of making their work day more flexible, in order to be able to attend to the new family needs generated as a result of the pandemic.

In addition to this, the time frame has recently been adapted to continue facilitating the reconciliation and flexibility that this new situation requires. For this reason, Ence has adapted the mandatory attendance hours, placing it between 9:00 and 13:00.

The meetings, carried out electronically, can only be held during the hours of compulsory presence, always respecting the individual schedule adaptations that each employee has requested to meet their family needs.

The most valuable capital that Ence has is its workers, who are making a great effort in this exceptional situation. For this reason, the company is receiving and listening to all the requests of its employees to continue implementing new reconciliation measures, in order to improve their quality of life and, thus, be able to overcome this crisis together and in the best possible way.
