Ence actively participates in the environment of its bio-factories and power plants, providing collaboration and contributing to the well-being of its neighbors. This commitment to neighboring communities has been reinforced in Asturias in recent months, actions to support nearby communities through the Navia biofactory, which have been maintained and increased during the health crisis and in the recovery process after it.
Specifically, in collaboration with the Coaña City Council, Ence has collaborated in the provision of a children’s playground in the town of Villacondide, located in the upper part of this population center. It is a facility that was lacking in the area, a demand from the neighbors that will provide service to the families of the environment.
The company has contributed a contribution of 22,000 euros to make this project a reality, which consists of its own games spaces, as well as annex elements and services that allow the adequate functionality of this space. It includes three parking spaces, the installation of a perimeter fence, a padded platform for the playground and street furniture, with benches, a fountain and wastebaskets.
For Ence, commitment to the environment is a priority. This is evidenced by the continuous collaboration of the company with the communities of the environments in which it operates. In this sense, Ence has also allocated funds to cover different actions in support of social, cultural and sports initiatives, and maintains a constant dialogue to identify and support new initiatives that benefit the residents of the region.
