Ence closes sale agreements for 1.1 million tons of pulp by 2022

Ence has already closed sales agreements for 1.1 million tons of cellulose for this year 2022, which means covering the maximum production of the company’s biofactories for this year.

Mainly, the sales agreements reached are destined for the European market, in which Ence has significant competitive logistical and customer service advantages. Through these operations, the company is able to increase its market share on the continent, and improve its positioning in key segments that are growing, such as tissue, specialties and packaging.

In this sense, the growth in sales of special products is noteworthy, which provide added value in a highly competitive market. Sales of these products, included under the “Ence Advanced” brand, have increased to exceed 20 percent of the total committed. It is a special cellulose destined for a multitude of applications that allow the replacement of long fiber by short fiber; and from synthetic fibers, such as plastics, by fibers of natural origin from wood, which allow us to contribute to the advance towards a circular bioeconomy.

In this way, Ence achieves a reference position in a market in which the global demand for paper has experienced significant growth over the past year, thanks to the global recovery after the health crisis in segments such as specialties and graphic papers.

Ence’s cellulose is demanded for its high quality, highly recognized in the sector, as well as for the flexibility in its production, which allows a greater adaptation to the needs of paper companies.

Ence is an international benchmark in the eco-efficient production of cellulose with the highest environmental standards. Its production is endorsed by the eco-label of the European Union and by the prestigious Nordic Swan eco-label of the Nordic countries.
