The company promotes sustainable forest management and enhances ecosystem services within the framework of its Biodiversity Plan

Ence certifies two new woodlands under the international FSC®* standard

Ence continues to make progress in the implementation of its Biodiversity Plan, a cornerstone of its sustainability strategy, through new initiatives that strengthen the conservation and restoration of habitats within its own forestlands. These actions reflect the company’s commitment to promoting sustainable forest management that combines responsible production with biodiversity protection, thereby contributing to the creation of environmental and social value in the regions where it operates.

Within this framework, the company has certified two new woodlands under the FSC® Ecosystem Services standard (licence number FSC®-C099970), consolidating its leadership in integrating advanced environmental criteria into forest management.

In addition, over the course of this year the company will restore nearly 300 hectares of woodland in Galicia and Huelva, supporting soil recovery and the improvement of degraded habitats. At the same time, Ence is creating ecotones in its forestlands in Galicia, Asturias and Huelva. These transitional areas enhance ecological connectivity and foster species diversity, thereby strengthening the resilience of forest ecosystems.
