AECA awards Ence with the 2021 Business Transparency Award

The Spanish Association of Accounting and Business Administration (AECA) has awarded Ence the 2021 Business Transparency Award in the modality of Listed on the IBEX Medium and IBEX Small Cap. On the 20th anniversary of this award, AECA recognizes, once again, the quality, accessibility and usefulness of the information that the company shares with all the economic and social agents in its environment.

For Alberto Valdés, Ence’s Director of Investor Relations, this recognition “makes us proud and encourages us to continue working with transparency to generate value for all our stakeholders and contribute to the development and well-being of our society”.

Transparency is a fundamental value integrated into Ence’s corporate culture. It is specifically defined both in its code of conduct and in its corporate governance policies, and is the necessary basis for maintaining an open and fluid dialogue with all its stakeholders.

During the delivery of the Award, carried out electronically, Valdés emphasized Ence’s contribution to each of the groups related to its activity, and the importance of transparency for generating trust in the company. Ence has been working for years to offer transparent and quality management. This effort was recognized by AECA in 2017, the year in which the Association awarded him the award in the same category. Leandro Cañibano, President of AECA, has highlighted Ence as one of the companies that the Jury always has in mind when it comes to information transparency.

Ence is the leader in Spain in the generation of renewable energy with biomass and in responsible forest management, also leading the European production of eucalyptus cellulose. Its activity, based on natural materials that contribute to the circular bioeconomy, collaborates in the advance towards a just energy transition and in the decarbonisation of the Spanish electricity system.
